Still in 2022? Chris is taking these 3 Powerful insights to 2023 to awesome... and also why I am continuing on Blogger!

This year is your year: Go get what you dream of

Back to the Future

Phew! Coming back to blogging is fantastic. Through most of 2022, I avoided blogging and social media. However, I have continually been picking up marketing strategies and better blogging tactics along the road.

When you have to avoid something while also working on it, the tension gets pretty high. Since its inception, this website's blog (Chriseducator.com) has served as my online journal, where I post my musings and sporadic observations on self-help and personal development.

I never considered it (this blog) a side business or anything of the type. I must admit, though, that I ran an attempt to monetize this platform. Anything worth its salt, in my opinion, should be self-sustaining.

WordPress or Blogger?

I believe that for the time being Blogger appears to be a viable platform to host this site. Other systems like WordPress and Ghost CMS are on my radar. I even conducted a poll for the same on Twitter.

Since it's a new year, I had some thoughts that I felt you might find helpful. We have an innate propensity to approach new endeavours with a tinge of optimism. It's as if natural selection is telling you that this is the way to go.

We must look at the things we were unable to pursue in the previous year more as guides than as targets, and refrain from whining about them.

Throwing the baby with the bathwater

Me quoting myself... Lol!

I do think we need to be well-managed and disciplined, but when you have given your all, the best course of action is to reflect on why we have set these objectives in the first place and why should we continue to work towards them rather than just focusing on what is not working.

I'd also like to mention another pertinent thought. When we don't meet short-term goals, we often can doubt our long-term Vision. When things go wrong, it is not necessary to reject the big picture. Over the years, I stopped overindulging in excellent ideas. Good ideas, in my opinion, have a lot of potentials that can be explored when we put them to use as opposed to just playing them for amusement.

I'd like to quickly highlight some of the key topics I discussed in this post:

  1. Follow your dreams.
  2. You can try new things.
  3. Don't let your dreams die.

To wrap this post

This blog will serve as a forum for me to express my ideas and learn from my experiences as I investigate personal marketing and self-development. I believe taking the initial step toward realizing our objectives and placing little wagers is crucial.

When you stop reading, learning doesn't end; it only ends when you stop applying what you've learned. You could follow me on my social media accounts if you wish to be encouraged by good ideas.

I like to believe that although we all hold diverse feelings and beliefs, we all share the human desire to become better people. See you in a future post.

Just a quick word and two ideas to get you thinking...2 Important reasons to empower yourself

August 19, 2022

Just a quick word and a few interesting ideas

A Quick word...

Yes, This is my New post. Are we complicating things, living only in our thoughts, or only acting without giving time to think?

People hate Self Help, I love it. It has helped me a lot. I don't believe in any idea blindly. I reflect on it and try it.

If you liked my blogs, try them and share them. Let's get the conversation started.

I have stopped sticking to SEO 101, Let's see how that works. See you in the next post!

Before I leave you here with my reasons for self-empowerment. I would like to know yours.

2 Reasons to empower yourself

Number #1 Your Time is precious

You don't get your time back. It is precious and you must start valuing it.

Your experience matters and it only comes with time. Information cannot compensate for a lack of experience.

You need to act and give the required time to master things to excel and achieve things.

Therefore I believe time is an important commodity.

Number # 2 You are you

I didn't want to say unique. You may hear it many times and it sounds cheesy.

Think about it, It is a fact. You might be like a lot of dudes. You are you and that is important.

'You' is never perfect, but 'You' can always be excellent and improve.

Personal Blog to Platform for Self Growth

 Getting Discouraged and Assumptions

You may have noticed things that happen to people when they get busy.

They no longer have time for you and with the lack of information, people start assuming and making up stuff.

I have not been seeing you guys for some time. You may have noticed a lot of change, but I will retort by saying I am going through change.

My schedule has gone in another direction. I have consciously kept time to build a routine to get me more productive.

9 to 5 and How it has structured things

I believe in the idea that good choices can help people change

I have always wanted to help people achieve their purpose by focusing on their goals and developing themselves.

'Chris educator dot com' started out as a Personal Blog with good ideas. I blogged around Self development and Personal Marketing.

I believe in the idea that good choices can help people change. Routines and systems help in this effort to kick start the process of achieving our goals.

I am committed to building this platform I started out.

What have I been up to?

….working on a few digital products

I have been surveying the competition around me and in a way validates my idea for this blog.

I am streamlining a lot of things and bringing this blog in shape to give it the reach it can have.

This has meant a lot of time spent reading and learning things. Experimenting offline and tweaking things to enrich this platform.

I have been experimenting with a few platforms and thank you guys for the awesome feedback.

I have been working on a few digital products and relaunching this site on WordPress.

Let's see how it goes, hoping for the best.

My current Self Help interest

Currently, I have been interested in developing systems to enrich my personal development.

I have been putting a few things I have learned down the years into motion.

It has helped me not speak the talk only but to walk it as well.

Action is where feedback ultimately happens and brings insight into what we have always planned.

The Road ahead

Visions and dreams are strong guides

I believe our Visions and dreams are strong guides that help us chart an unexplored area.

We can have assurance about the right hard work and intent we put into our work.

The rest is left to time to tell. Losing is a part of winning and not an antithesis of it.

Feedback: I need you to answer a few questions

I want to know what this platform means to you. Has it helped you in some way?

Please share with me ideas to enrich this platform.

Please share this information at officialchriseducator@gmail.com or drop a message on the contact page.

Wrapping it up

Staying through to our purpose depends on us. Commitment is more than a matter of the heart it is also about our actions.

Sometimes change comes when we invest our time in learning and receiving feedback. Chasing novelty has its own charm, but may bear fruits we may not seek.

Thank you for being awesome as always. Catch you in the next post.

How to write a Vision Statement that gives you a hard knock? Some ideas bordering on a rant

May 23, 2022

Writing a Vision is putting your dreams to paper

Casting a vision can sometimes be like casting a spell, If you do not know where and how you just have some vague outcome you are chasing.

I think visions are so important in terms of a project or a dream. We need to make our dream a reality, but how about starting with verbalizing it.

Putting things in writing can be like a miracle. It shakes off all the vague parts.

I think the best part of writing a vision is that covers so many things. It captures a lot in a few words, it is simply amazing.

How to begin?

Starting a journey; Crafting a vision

I think just focusing on writing one statement can be painful. We look at all the inspirational vision statements pasted all over the internet and go "Damn, I wish I could write like this".

I have been there and I can relate with that. So I decided to focus more on what I wanted to do. I asked myself did I have clarity and so I thought giving it more thought would not be useful. I decided to keep a note or a journal of the impressions I had.

Just Begin...Imperfect is perfect

Having a poorly written statement is a beginning

I wrote a Personal Vision statement and it seemed overly ambitious to me. Sometimes I would think it is overly exaggerated and sometimes I felt it captured how I felt.

Instead of getting sucked into the dilemma of things I decided to just write one down and use it.

I wrote one down, It was just me using words and not trying to keep it impressive or wordy.

I wanted it to relate to my dreams. That was all I wanted.

Testing your vision

Sign up for our Newsletter! Get inspired

Now Just don't write it, you need to test it as well. Create small targets that you could use.

Keep these targets time bound. Review your performance regularly.

Action tells you a lot about what is happening, just relying on feelings is not enough. We need concrete feedback to understand if we are going in the right direction.

Re-write and move on

Rewrite and move ahead

You want to re-write your vision statement for whatever reason. I think you must do it after a lot of forethought and reviewing all that you have learnt from the process.

You have a lot of matter to work with. Don't take it as starting a new journey but approach it like a sequel to something awesome.

Conclusion

I do believe in the power of a good vision, but having said that I do think that verbalising it is also quite powerful.

A lot of times lack of clarity can stifle us from making healthy decisions, but action pushes you ahead.

I hope this article got you thinking on crafting a better vision statement.

That's it for now, catch you in the next post, Ciao!

What does Self Love actually mean? 10 Key Strategies to use Self Love in your daily life

May 15, 2022
New Beginnings have a charm of its own...feel great and completely fulfilled

Introduction

When you start something new things can be exciting, but you can also have some temporary challenges that you are very well prepared and excited to deal with.

New Beginnings have a charm of its own, we put ourselves completely into it. We feel great and completely fulfilled.

But sometimes routine can be perceived to be something bad (I love routine though), we can feel left out or uncared for.

Our closed ones can be there but we  can feel we need to be understood more or something like that. I think in moments like this we need to be there for ourselves.

We need to love ourselves and accept the way we are. All our good, bad and ugly sides,  we may not be perfect. But we can accept and love who we are completely and perfectly.

What is Self-love? What it is not?

Show Chris some love too, Subscribe!

I have had my own share of a testimony but I would rather keep it for some other time. Personally I realized that to build self confidence and belief in self also means a certain level of self care.

How could one love oneself If it was without accepting the self? Of course I knew my negatives. I mean how I failed living to the ideals I think are important in my own perception.

At some point dealing with the negatives within and outside myself became a tug of war. Over a period of time I realized that there was grace in a healthy self acceptance.

Sometimes in the quest for becoming better we turn more saccharine.

It not only hurts us but actually is less authentic (in my view). I am not saying you don't need to improve but one cannot change without first accepting the way things are.

I like the way the Brain and Behavior foundation describes it a blog, "Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological and spiritual growth."

Our actions should support who we want to be rather than becoming an unhealthy critic of sorts.

How can it help you?

I think the first thing that comes to my mind is that it will help you move away from an unhealthy kind of perfectionism.

I think that this kind of Perfectionism is actually inauthentic and doesn't take into account the reality of things. It puts a lot of burden on the individual and may be others.

I do believe constantly trying to build self and improving ones life if accompanied with the reality that we all have areas we struggle with, seems more authentic to me.

You must check this article on the importance of Self Love by Medical News Today.

10 ways to get started with loving yourself

via GIPHY

This is Chris Educator's Amazing List of Loving yourself (LOL)

Believe me I practice most of these:

1. Remove the toxic people from your life

This is the first and most powerful hack I can give you.

I am not encouraging you to be judgmental. But just that sometimes we don't gel fit well with people.

You don't need to be nasty about it, Just start by being assertive and valuing your time and space.

2. Keep time to Destress yourself

I don't know what your belief system is. But we all live one Life at a time.

We all want to give the best to people and things we love.

All that is only possible if we keep time to destress ourselves. Of course all Stress is not bad.

Just keep the bad ones away.

3. Fulfill your Dreams(Side Hustle)

We all have dreams but there are practicalities we need to deal with. We may even love what we do, but a lot of us have dreams we would love to fulfill.

Believe me it won't happen if you don't work on it. You can start it as a side hustle.

Starting a Side Hustle is also a form of Self Love. You actually start working on what you have been relegating to a just a dream.

You Side Hustle may work or not, but it will teach you a lot.

4. Document your thoughts

Your thought life is also you. You need to note your insights and dreams.

Feel free to note all the things you are sad about or even thankful for.

Review your journal and don't just write and forget. If you think you would want to share it with others, you can start blogging or micro blogging about it.

5. Practice Awareness

Life is much more than you are aware of. Intentionally Practice Awareness in your daily life.

I have blogged about it, you can check some of my blogs on this.

6. Read your Gratitude list

Firstly maintain a Gratitude list. You can journal about the things you are grateful for and read them regularly.

7. Accept yourself

Of course you know you are not Mr./Ms. Perfect. So accept the parts of you that are not so good.

8. Find your tribe

You can't gel with everyone. Follow the first tip and fire the toxic people if possible, next hangout with people who share the things you find amazing.

9. Practice Forgiveness

Besides forgiving yourself, I am sure there are many people who have wronged you. It may be easy for me to write it but it can be difficult for you to forgive some people. But It can be very caring to yourself to forgive the people who have hurt you.

10. Manage your Time

This one is last on the list but is extremely important. Practicing Time management is extremely valuable and important skill.

Managing your time is extremely caring thing to do. You don't need to spend yourself saving the world around you. Even Superman needs some time off.

Conclusion

6 more tips to complete this Challenge

I would like to conclude these thoughts with a Challenge. You see challenges every day, I am not going to ask you to dance or forward this article ( Though I wish you would), But I want to Challenge you to do something new each week.

A new act or habit that encourages a healthy for form of Self Care. You can  start by taking 1 idea from the 10 I shared and start.

You don't need to follow my list, you just need to begin. I hope this article finds in the best of health.

Thank you for your time and see you in this next post.

Fresh Update: What's been happening lately with Chris? 3 Key Takeaways from my new stint

April 29, 2022

What's been happening lately.....?

Oh Gosh! Been such a long time. Where have I been? I must write this as an update. I have spent time with my other love, Course Creation.

Now, I create courses around Management and Marketing for Universities (besides Blogging & Coaching).

It's been great getting back to the 9to5 grind. I know and have read a lot of articles speaking negatively about it. I don't share the same ideas.

I think depends on many factors like life and career goals, personal ambitions, etc.

I am writing to share some lessons I have learned from this process.

Lesson #1 Get used to the Grind

Initially, any change seems difficult to manage.

Imagine starting out a new project, Things may not work as seemed or expected.

I think this is quite a normal experience, but I also think exaggerating the pain and change is something negative. We must learn from the experience, cry sometimes, or console ourselves when things get worse.

I believe having a vision can help us focus better and deal with difficult situations or even change.

Lesson #2 Never give up on trying

Do you need some coaching or tutoring? Click here

I believe there are appropriate situations when you have to dump a project, but most of the time we must not make excuses.

Moving on and giving our best every time is the way to go.

If you don't know something, learn it, if you need help, network and get it.

I believe the best choice is to give your best.

Lesson #3 Value the platform

Check my latest Newsletter!

As an experienced Freelancer, I really value the 9to5 grind. I see it as an opportunity to give my best and upgrade myself with new experiences and interactions.

A lot of times when things go unexpectedly bad, we look at the negative side of things.

We must also practice timely exercises on Gratitude.

In Conclusion

I would like to thank you for the support you guys have been giving me.

Please share your experiences and do subscribe to my Newsletter.

Thank you for your time, Ciao!

A personal story on dealing with excessive anxiety + 2 Key Pointers on dealing with it the Right way

March 21, 2022

If you are feeling overly anxious, I can understand how it feels

Deep Pain and an empty feeling

Imagine waking up one day and feeling low for no reason. Walking to the bus stop and your mind brings to you all the worries of the world. You know it is all exaggerated but you just can't help it.

Your church buddies don't get it, they think you are turning into some kind of Job and God is testing you. You are not able to concentrate on your job. You just feel horrible.

This is how I felt years ago, I was lecturing and in the middle of the lecture I had to leave. I needed to take a break I just couldn't think. It felt like there was a black hole in the center of my chest. It felt really hopeless. I had to tell my Head of Department about it.

Getting the right kind of Support

Get the support from people who care

She was really kind and she connected me with a Doctor. It was a life changing experience. I was suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

It a treatable disorder, and I so grateful and thankful to my HOD. She was a savior.

It is amazing how sometimes in spite of our Education we fail to take care of ourselves. I wonder why is it so.

Do we think it is a taboo and people will shun us and laugh at us? Is neglecting yourself spiritually sound and sensible? Is it a lack of faith?

What I think about GAD and 2 Pointers

Use Rationality and sensible thinking for Self Care

To me it was like any other disease. We must be rational and sensible. Taking care of ourselves is important if we want to work on our goals and dreams.

Detours are a part of the journey and so are setbacks. We must deal with them and we don't need to do it alone.

I would to share here a lot of tips and strategies, But I will only share 2 Pointers here.

1. Speak to someone who cares

2. Seek medical help

There are people who care for you. But Everyone also has things they are dealing with and so if some fail to get what you are going through it is okay.

The next point I would like to mention is Professional Help is important. Although you can get some really helpful ideas from various resources getting the right help is key to better health.

I would encourage to take self care seriously and especially mental health.

In Conclusion

Emotional Health and Self Care are important

Taking care of yourself is a journey and an important part of achieving your Goals. We must expect the unexpected at times.

Having a balanced lifestyle is important to you and the people you influence.

Professional Medical Help is important for proper self care. I hope I have been able to enrich you through this post.

Relevance of your dreams and aspirations? A Thoughtful Quote and 6 Key takeaways

March 07, 2022

May be they are much more than just desires

Childhood and Dreams

When I was small I always wanted to be a Pope. I found him to be a very charismatic and inspiring public figure.

If you asked me as a child what I wanted to become it would be one of the answer you would hear from me. But it upset me to learn that Pope's remains a celibate (Imagine as a kid thinking gosh I won't have a wife, Lol!)

Over the years I have wanted to choose a lot of interesting professions. As one matures you settle for a profession and you settle into it as its a practical option. I have been content with Educating students on Management and Soft Skills, but exploring other opportunities have been a blessing.

Your Inner Map

Use your dreams and aspiration to get yourself a good start

I have looked at my Dreams and aspirations as some kind of inner map. It has personally helped me find my purpose and put things into perspective for example, understanding my purpose and my profession.

I think we must own our dreams and aspirations while others share their insights and critiques. They are living their own reality and you got to own yours.

We can share our vision with others. But it is left to us to understand its relevance and how it makes a difference. Making a difference does involves you; and how it impact others too.

The tendency becomes to only focus on ourselves and the immediate benefits. Modern culture encourages a tendency for quick gratification which may not be totally realistic.

Importance of Being focused

Focus requires a Target, Read more

What happens if we fail; it affects us or may be even demotivate us. But it doesn't have to be like that. I think failing is normal and is a part of the process.

Personally I have caught myself focusing on too many things. They all look attractive and fine. But I think the trick is to focus on a few things. May be 2 or 3 things or ideas that holds your focus.

When we do not focus we have nothing to measure our actions or successes against. This can be both a fruitless and demotivating experience.

We have not allowed ourselves to get into gear to put our plans to work. We have just been caught up with the novelty and attractiveness of new ideas. If we just put the same efforts into succeeding in a few things it would take us a long way.

Some Key Takeaways

I think there are some key takeaways we can remember:

  1. You must own your goals
  2. Achieving your goals make you and others happy
  3. Goals require proper work and focus
  4. Strong focus is essential, focusing on everything is like focusing on nothing
  5. Measure your progress
  6. Don't focus on the shiny objects only.
There are could a laundry list of things I could put here, but I think in my experience these 6 key points is something that I found to be important.

In Conclusion

Working with people and hearing their stories about their achievements it teaches one a lot. If you feel that people don't believe in your dreams, try winning them over. I have learnt that a lot of times it is about getting a one more supporter than less.

We should sell the idea to ourselves and others too besides getting the focus right and working our plans.

The Art of turning a good day with a bad start to a fresher and better one: 3 Strategies to bringing the change

February 24, 2022

A Series on Short and Quick insights on Self-development | Subscribe to our Newsletter on Stack

How to deal with a bad day? Every day cannot be Valentine's day. Some days can be bad. How does one deal with a bad one?

Maybe you are okay with it, but can other people bear your tantrums. Everyone is not your mom and maybe they tolerate your nakhra and some don't. Why not take a hold of it and change it?

Let me share some strategies that have helped me.

1. Your day is not over

Each day and the events within the day don't need to be like a series of dominoes.

A bad start doesn't mean a bad ending. It is in your mind.

You can stop, take a deep breath and remember a positive moment or a better day.

Now start afresh. You have decided to start from a better moment. Now you can end your day well.

2. It is your time and your day

We are all like islands in our own heads but we are in reality connected with each other.

It is normal to slide on a few things and lose control. Maybe you need to take the toll of your current situation and reclaim the control you have lost.

How do you want to experience your current reality? Choose a better thought over a defeatist one.

You have nothing gained by allowing your day to go bad.

3. Take a short break

Maybe you have had a tiresome week and you need a small break.

I am not suggesting leaving your duty and commitments. You need to spare 5 minutes of your day.

You can meditate, pray, or maybe listen to some calming or positive music.

Conclusion

If you have had a bad day and you are reading this article. This is time to stop reading this article and start practicing what I have suggested.

Do like this article and share it. Your support counts.

Journeys and a new journey

A journey starts with the first few steps but it actually begins with a desire. Desire to be somewhere and do something.

I love journeys it gives you time to stop and think. It disrupts your journey and puts in a place where you may encounter the unknown.

My journey blogging has had a similar feel to it, I was encouraged by friends to start it.

I never regret it, but I have tried to experiment with it along the way.

My Experiments blogging

Check this experiment

This blog has been a personal one. I have tried to focus on my insights and thoughts. I have done quite a few experiments along the way.

I have tried using ads on this platform and working on different formats. I have learnt a lot from this experience.

My next target for this blog is coming with more digital resources. I have been thinking about creating downloadables and small e-books.

I think different types of content require different formats. I have found E-Books to be more focused and geared towards learning a concept or looking at a new perspective.

I am in the process of researching ideas and collecting required resources. Lets see it should be up soon.

I plan to present them to you people soon! Fingers crossed ðŸ¤ž I am hoping for the best.
